US smart speaker market hits 66 million installs, only 6% are Apple HomePods TechSpot

Research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners’ data shows that the total userbase for smart speakers in the US hit 66 million in December. It appears that the devices’ popularity is increasing: that number is almost double the 36 million installs recorded one year ago.
